Buhl Kenneth Glenn Foster, age 81, of Buhl passed away Saturday, July 26, 2003, at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 2, 1921, at Beloit, Kansas, the son of Charles and Clara Hutton Foster.
During WWII he served his country faithfully in the Army in the Pacific Theater. On June 4, 1942, he married Catherine "Kate" Goodrich at Beloit, Kansas, who passed away in 1992.
In 1956, he moved from Kansas to the Magic Valley area where he farmed. During his younger years he enjoyed traveling with his wife, weekend drives in the country, playing cards with friends and most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Sharon Foster of Smyra, Delaware, and her children, Tammy and Scott; two sons, Robert and his wife Patricia Foster of Pocatello, Idaho, and their children, Angye and Jennifer, Richard Foster of Beaverton, Oregon; and former daughter-in-law, Rebecca Eastman of Hillsboro, Oregon, and their children, Tabitha and Chastity; three great-grandsons; and two sisters, Maxine Auldridge of Beloit, Kansas, and Neomi Butler of Glasco, Kansas.
In addition to his wife, Catherine and one son, Kenneth William, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Cecil and Joe Foster; one sister, Ila Vestal and one grandson.
The memorial graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2003, at the West End Cemetery, Buhl, Idaho.
Family suggests that memorials be sent to the Castleford Quick Response or a charity of their choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel.
