Theresa Lowry Lowe, of Midland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, May 28th at the age of 78.
Theresa was born October 2, 1927 to ABijah Edward Lowry and Lena M. McCuthceon in Salt Creek, Wyoming. She was raised and graduated in Westbrook, TX March 12, 1945 in Carlsbad, New Mexico she married Homer Allen Lowe Jr. and they began their life together in Midland, TX.
During their 61 years of marriage, Theresa and Allen were richly blessed with a son Rev. J. Allen Lowe of Garland, TX; and two daughters, Rebekah Teinert of Midland, TX; and Lavonya Friday of El Paso, TX. Mrs. Lowe loved being at home to raise her children and was involved in all of their activities. Theresa spent many years of her life teaching Sunday School and VBS at Bellview Baptist. She was also a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Midland Chapter #253. Her life was enriched with seven grandchildren, Dr. Robert Lowe, John Lowe, Scott Lowe, Katrina Kindseth, Holly McConnell, C.A Friday, and David Friday along with eight great grandchildren.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Genievie Cosper, and her brother John Lowry. Those left to honor her memory are her husband, her brother, James Richard Lowry of California, her children, Rev. J. Allen Lowe and Shirley Lowe, Rebekah and John Teinert, and Lavonya and Tom Friday, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 31 between 6 and 8 P.M. Services will be Thursday, June 1 at 9:00 A.M. at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bob Hopkins with graveside following at Fairview. Pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Lowe, John Lowe, David Friday, Katrina Kindseth, Holly McConnell, and Scott Lowe. Honorary pallbearers are Hank McConnell, Alexandra McConnell, C.A Friday, Dean Kindseth, and Kathrine Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
