EMMETT MOONEYHAM
1918-2007
Emmett Mooneyham, age 88, of Milton passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 after a lengthy illness.
He was a native of Dellwood, Florida (Marianna) and has been a resident of the NW Florida area all of his life. Mr. Mooneyham was a retired Civil Service Worker at NAS Whiting Field working in the Department of refrigeration. He also was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years; Violet, one son Lamar Mooneyham of Milton, two grandsons Todd (wife Kim) Mooneyham of Milton, Brian (wife Madison) of Charlotte, North Carolina, two great-granddaughters Samantha and Kaitlyn of Milton, two brothers Milton Mooneyham of Grand Ridge, Florida, Lester Mooneyham of Milton, one sister Inez Herring of Grand Ridge, Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Dr. Joe Bamberg and the Rev. Frankie Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
Active pallbearers will be: Todd Mooneyham, Brian Mooneyham, Gary Mooneyham, Ted Stokes, Esq., Jerry Womack, AART, Dawn Harris, RN and Larry Vann.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Wayne Bright, Willard Aldredge, Clayton White, Hiram Williamson, Harold Leggett, Bit Melvin, Gloria Young, Dr. William Godbey, Donnie Sowell and Mike Weaver.
The family extends their sincere thanks to the fourth floor PCU nursing staff of Santa Rosa Medical Center, Dr. William Waters, Dr. Joseph Cherian, Dr. Eduardo Puente, Dr. Jimmy Barnes, Dr. Bruce Young and the staff of the Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Residence of Pensacola for their compassionate health delivery and care at this most difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32504.
HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
