Docia passed away at the age of 97 due to the after effects of Covid-19, in the City of Upland, CA. Docia was born in Deleware City, Oklahoma to Jack and Elsie Elrod. In 1926 at the age of 2 she moved by train with about 20 other Elrod family members from Oklahoma to Chino, California. She attended Chino Schools through High School. Docia spent most of her life in the Inland Empire Area. Having been in the Chino Area since 1926 she was a long time member of the Chino Valley Hitorical Society. She met her future husband Bob Everett while both worked at the General Electric Iron Plant in Ontario, California. Then later worked for the Hamilton Drug Store in Pomona, California. Docia and Bob were able to take many enjoyable trips and vacations together to most of the Western United States. Docia was preceded in death by her father Jack and mother Elsie Elrod, sister Jackie Stickels, Husband Bob Everett, Grandson Scott Everett. Docia is survived by her son Del Everett, his wife Linda, 2 grandchildren Jay Everett, his wife Maria, Marci de los Rios, 4 great Grandchildren Dustin, Stephanie (fiancée Alvin), Gabriela, Lorenzo, 4 Great Great Grandchildren, Antonio, Amellia, Bodhi, Kinzou and 1 niece Carol (Stickels) Worley.
