Mrs. Doris F. Linebarger, 78, of Calhoun, Georgia, died Saturday, October 10, 2009. She was born on July 5, 1931 in Robeson County, a daughter of the late Robert Furmage Sr. and Blanche McCracken Furmage. Her husband, Leon F. Linebarger, preceded her in death. She had lived in Calhoun for 20 years and was a member of Echota Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 12 in the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun with the Rev. Don Walters officiating. Burial was in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Survivors are four sons, Jerry Linebarger and his wife Peggy Linebarger and Asa Linebarger and his wife Elaine Linebarger all of Calhoun, Jimmy Linebarger and his wife Linda Linebarger of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Lee Linebarger and his wife Julie Linebarger of Raeford; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun, Georgia served the family.
