Linebarger, Joseph B. – age 81 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016. He was a member of Roseberry Baptist Church. A 50 year member of French Broad Masonic Lodge 588, Kerbela Shrine. He served in the U.S. Navy during Korean Conflict. Retired from Y-12 Oak Ridge after 30 plus years. Preceded in death by parents, S.H. and Myrtle Linebarger; sister, Jeanette Lester. Survived by wife of 49 years Sherrin Linebarger; daughter, Kristi (Barry) Plumlee; son, Darrell (Jennifer) Linebarger; grandson, Parker Plumlee; brother, Asa (Carolyn) Linebarger; multiple nieces and nephews. French Broad Lodge Masonic service followed by funeral service 5:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Trapp and Rev. Rick Rogers officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Monday at Bridges Funeral Home and proceed to East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a 11:30 AM interment with full Military Honors provided by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Contributions may be made to Roseberry Baptist Church Food Pantry, 2920 Roseberry Road, Mascot, TN 37806.
