Glenn Allen Hobbs, Sr. – age 76 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017. Glenn was born and raised in Knoxville, and went to Bearden High school before joining the Navy at age 17. After the Navy, Glenn worked for Ditch Witch until retirement in 2003. A chief mechanic by trade, and a tinkerer by passion. From Model A’s to motorcycles and trucks, he had a passion for restoration. Glenn also loved to shoot and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gladys Hobbs, first wife Carolyn Jeanette Hobbs Lester, and oldest son Glenn Allen Hobbs, Jr.
Glenn is survived by wife, Judy Hobbs; son, Asa Hobbs; son, Karl Hobbs and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Heather, Michael, Tyler, Kaitlyn and Drew. Sisters, Eva and Margaret and several nephews.
