Uriah was born 6 February 1836, Tallapoosa County, Alabama, served in the Civil War as a private in Company C, Terry's Texas Rangers 8th Cavalry, C. S. A. He married Mary Elizabeth Barlow, circa 1864 in Kentucky. Uriah died 13 April 1877, buried in Horn Hill Cemetery. Mary married second Capt. W.H. Hicks and moved to Wagoner, Oklahoma.
