Hodges, 72, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Monroe County, the son of the late Clarence and Vada Birge Hodges. Mr. Hodges was a retired supervisor with Western Electric in Shreveport, La. He is survived by two daughters: Shelly Smith (Scott) of Shreveport, La., and Donna Owens of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchidren: Desiree Moore, Jeremy Owens, Shane Smith and Scott Smith; a brother:, Murbel Hodges of Glasgow; his best friend Tiger; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wilmer and Wendell Hodges. Burial will be in the White Cemetery.
