On Sunday, September 29, 2019, Maxine Bishop Baldridge Quick passed away at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX. at the age of 87.
Maxine was born in Port Arthur, TX on October 29, 1931, to Effie and Violas Bishop.
She lived all her growing up years in Port Arthur, Texas. She married Robert Powers Baldridge in 1948, and they had two sons Robert Allen and Raymond Lee. In 1965 she married William Eugene Quick and they had one son Ronald Gene Quick.
She has spent nearly the last fifty years living in Vidor, TX. where she was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. As a Widow for the last 20 years, Maxine enjoyed her Red Hats group the Rhinestone Red Hatters, lunch once a month with the “Lunch Bunch”, bingo at the community center, attending Pine Forest Baptist Church, and the arrival of ten great grandchildren. She was quite active until the summer of 2018 when she moved to Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor.
She is survived by her three sons: Robert Allen Baldridge (Wanda) of Hideaway, TX; Raymond Lee Baldridge of Beaumont, TX; and Ronald Gene Quick (Karen) of Midway, TX, as well as step-children William Eugene “Buddy” Quick, Michael Quick and Ruth Whiteside (Gary) of Horn Lake, MS. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Ryan Alan Baldridge (Stacey) of San Marcos, TX: Amanda Quick-Allison of Vidor, TX; Kamrie Quick of Burbank, CA; and Kyle Quick (Allison) of Vidor, TX, as well as ten great grandchildren.
Maxine donated her body to UT Medical Houston School in Houston with a cremation to follow.
There will be a celebration of life announced at a later date.
